How does this piece form?
Rock Crystal, also known as Clear Quartz, forms when silica-rich fluids circulate through fractures and cavities within rock. Under suitable geological conditions, these fluids gradually cool and crystallize into quartz.
During different stages of this process, other minerals present in the surrounding environment can become incorporated into the growing crystal.
In this specimen, chlorite became enclosed within the quartz during its development, creating the fascinating green and earthy internal formations visible today.
